Tether Task Terms of Use

You must be at least 13 years old (or the minimum age required in your country) to use Tether Task. You can sign in with Apple, Google or an email address and password. You are responsible for the accuracy of the information you provide, for keeping your sign-in credentials secure, and for all activity under your account.

Tell us promptly at support@gaboapps.com if you believe your account has been used without your permission.

Tether Task helps you capture thoughts, plan your day loosely across morning, midday and evening, and focus on one small step at a time. You may use it for lawful, personal purposes only.

You agree not to misuse the app, including by attempting to gain unauthorized access to it or to other users' data, interfering with its operation, reverse engineering it except where the law allows, or using it to store or share unlawful content.

Tether Task is designed with neurodivergent minds in mind, but it is a personal organization tool. It is not a medical device and does not diagnose, treat or replace care for ADHD, anxiety or any other condition. Suggestions, insights and prompts in the app are general encouragement, not medical, psychological or professional advice.

Don't rely on Tether Task for time-sensitive, safety-critical or emergency tasks. If you are in crisis or need urgent help, contact your local emergency services.

You own the tasks and thoughts you add to Tether Task. You give us a limited permission to store, process and display that content solely to provide the app to you, including to any companions you choose to share with.

You are responsible for your content and for deciding what to write in it. Avoid putting information you would not want stored online, such as passwords or financial account numbers, in your tasks.

Tether Task lets you create a read-only companion link so someone you trust can see your current one thing. Anyone who has the link can view it without signing in, so share it only with people you trust. You can stop a link at any time by turning it off or creating a new one in Settings, and you are responsible for the links you choose to share.

Some features require Tether Task Pro, available as a weekly, monthly or yearly subscription. Prices are shown in the app before you buy. Purchases are processed by the Apple App Store or Google Play and are subject to their terms.

Subscriptions renew automatically at the end of each period unless you cancel at least 24 hours before renewal. Your store account is charged for renewal within 24 hours before the current period ends. If a free trial is offered, any unused portion ends when you purchase a subscription.

You can manage or cancel your subscription in your App Store or Google Play account settings. Deleting the app or your Tether Task account does not cancel a subscription. Refunds are handled by Apple or Google under their refund policies.

We may add, change or remove Pro features over time. Features described as coming soon are not part of a subscription until they are available in the app.

Tether Task, including its software, design, text, illustrations and logos, is owned by Gabo Apps and protected by intellectual property laws. Subject to these terms, we grant you a personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable license to use Tether Task on devices you own or control.

Our Tether Task Privacy Policy explains how we collect and use your information, and our Account Deletion Policy explains how to delete your account and data.

You may stop using Tether Task and delete your account at any time from Settings. We may suspend or end your access if you violate these terms or if required by law. If we discontinue Tether Task, we will try to give you reasonable notice.

Tether Task is provided "as is" and "as available" without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied, including warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose and non-infringement. We do not warrant that the app will be uninterrupted or error-free, or that your tasks will always sync.

To the fullest extent permitted by law, Gabo Apps is not liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential or punitive damages, or for lost data, missed tasks or lost profits arising from your use of Tether Task. Our total liability for any claim relating to Tether Task is limited to the greater of the amount you paid us for Tether Task in the 12 months before the claim or US $50. Some jurisdictions do not allow these limitations, so they may not apply to you.

If you downloaded Tether Task from the Apple App Store, these terms are between you and Gabo Apps, not Apple. Apple is not responsible for Tether Task or its content, has no obligation to provide maintenance or support for it, and is not responsible for any claims relating to it, including product liability, legal or regulatory compliance, or intellectual property claims. If Tether Task fails to conform to any applicable warranty, you may notify Apple for a refund of the purchase price, if any; to the maximum extent permitted by law, Apple has no other warranty obligation. Apple and its subsidiaries are third-party beneficiaries of these terms and may enforce them against you.

You confirm that you are not located in a country subject to a U.S. government embargo or designated as a "terrorist supporting" country, and that you are not on any U.S. government list of prohibited or restricted parties.

We may update these terms from time to time. We will post the updated version on this page with a new "Last updated" date. For material changes, we will also let you know by email or in the app. Continued use of Tether Task after changes take effect means you accept the updated terms.
